Oh man…Wise Man Brewing out of Winston Salem, NC. They are going to be big (-ger than they are right now).
We’ve made the trip out to see them twice and haven’t been disappointed in a brew from there yet. Even bought a 4 pack of a DIPL and I never do that.
I’m enjoy this coffee blonde at Tapline Growler in Holly Springs, NC. If I won the lottery this would be a business model I would follow. No brewing just taps and bottles and good conversations about beer.
The coffee blonde is a style I enjoy. The coffee offsets the bitterness of he hops and counters the sweet malt nicely without the perceived heaviness of a coffee stout. It’s the perfect breakfast beer.
This particular coffee blonde has an earthy, biscotti smell. It’s clear not brilliant with an off white head. Coffee is there and balanced against toasty malts and a very slight fruity hop.
