Cicerone Prep Month #1

Probably not a good sign that I’m writing a blog post about monthly prep 4 days into the first month already and one month behind where I said I wanted to start, but it is what it is.

I think this first month I’ll mix it up and focus on the brewing process and ingredients and pass that part of the exam (you get a button!). Also, I need to do this because I’ve got a buddy in New Jersey (hey Dan!) that I trade beer with and I have a backlog of many beers to drink before I can start focusing on styles.

This moves my target exam date back by a month, but oh well. July vs June isn’t a huge stretch if I can get back on the horse.

Goals for this month (riveting blogging, I know!):

  • Finish at least one of my beer books: The Audacity of Hops, Beer Pairing, or The Brewmaster’s Table
  • Pass the Brewing Ingredients and Process course
  • Pick a region for November and December

I just looked back at my last post and realize this is a completely different setup than what I had said I would do previously…nice.

Got to keep everyone guessing, including me.
