Beer #3629.1: Rodenbach Grand Cru

Couple of things about this beer.

First, it’s one of those beers that I never remember having. So even though I’ve checked it in only twice, there was a very long time where I was getting it a lot just because I’m an idiot.

Second, first time I had this was back in 2014. I’d only been drinking craft beer for about a year and recording it and I can probably say this was my first Flanders Red. It can be off putting if your not expecting it.

This beer I poured today was bottled exactly one year ago and has gone bad with a very vinegar smell and taste. I’ll need to find another source for this one.

I guess I’ll return to it a bit later when I’ve got a fresher sample.

Oh well…I’ll count it for today…
